Student Uniform Dress Code

It is the belief of Trinity Lutheran Classical School that appearance and attire does affect a person's attitude and behavior. All attire should be modest and in good taste – to the glory of God. Our dress regulations and appearance requirements are set out by the following guidelines to which all students are required to adhere. Attire will be clean, properly fitting, and neat at all times, with no holes, or holes repaired neatly.

The dress code will be enforced by the following means: Teachers or staff will note the improper attire or grooming. If appropriate-sized clothing can be found on the free uniform racks, the student will be required to change their clothes. If not, the parent/guardian will be notified by phone to either supply the proper attire for their child or pick them up from school. Grooming issues such as removal of temporary tattoos, makeup, and nail polish, combing or styling hair, etc may also be addressed and carried out by a member of school staff. Students will not be allowed to return to the classroom until in proper dress code attire. The student may also receive a Disciplinary Notice, which requires acknowledgement and signature of parent/guardian. In addition to the observations of teachers and staff, periodic dress code checks will be performed without notice in order to help maintain compliance with our dress code. If there is a question as to whether attire, grooming, etc qualifies as dress code appropriate, the decision of the staff member will be final. Trinity staff and the Board of Education reserve the right to revise or update this code as needed.
